Citric Acid has been REACH Registered

Citric Acid and Trisodium Citrate supplied by H Plus were both fully registered under REACH regulations on 1st December 2010.

Citric Acid is mainly used as acidulant, flavouring agent, preservative and anti-staling agent in the food and beverage industries. It is also used as an antioxidant, plasticizer and detergent in chemical, cosmetics and cleaning industries.

Trisodium citrate is used in flavours, as a stabilizing agent, buffer, chelating agent, and an emulsifier in the food and beverage industries. It can be used in the pharmaceutical industry to prevent blood clots, as a diuretic or as an excipient. In detergents trisodium citrate may be used to replace sodium tripolyphosphate as a non-toxic additive. It can also be used in brewing, photography and electroplating.
